7B,NC - Container (fabric planter) No blooms after putting in a container, slow growth and worried that she was dying; almost looks like the old stems are dying (dieback?) and new ones have sprouted with much healthier foliage. Threw it out.
7B/8 - First few months: Bought from Heirloom Roses; in fabric planter and doing great! Beautiful, healthy foliage and 1 bloom already with another bud. Given coffee grounds, liquid fish fertilizer, and spray regularly w/ fungicide. One of the best so far in my new, small container garden. Love her! Just got a 2qt pot from HR in June. Moved her to a container and she's had two blooms, very healthy growth and foliage. I've actually got her in a large 15 gallon fabric pot, as I'm finding these are working really well for my roses here in 7B (piedmont, NC). My healthiest rose bush so far. Year 2 (2022) - Planted her in the ground in November 2021. This year, she is doing well too! Blooms frequently & one of the healthier rose bushes
Wants afternoon shade. Notable comments: - it may ball and brown if too humid, so give it good air circulation. - very sensitive to too much water as bottom leaves often turn yellow after a rain even in fast draining soil. according to one comment: The plant needs a lot of coddling to grow. Most of all, it is extremely susceptible to thrips and to dry heat. - Many buds abort and those that do start to open turn brown before opening even when sprayed for thrips and heavily irrigated. - Flowers turn crispy and/or brown within 1 day when they do open, particularly at temperatures over 80 degrees. - Flowers can last a bit longer in higher humidity situations such as the rare rain here, and in cooler temperatures.
July 2021 - ordered from nature hills; to be delivered august 2021
